Whether you need website support, blogging services, a press release, or other professional marketing assistance, pricing for writing services is based on an hourly rate of $40, with final pricing, customized for each specific project, and to be agreed upon by editor and client ahead of time. 

Manuscript Editing Descriptions and Corresponding Fees

In keeping with industry standards, general fees for editing services are as follows, with final pricing, customized for each specific project, and to be agreed upon by editor and client ahead of time:

Proofreading

Correcting sentence-level errors and polishing overall readability of content for the desired purpose.

– $3.00 per page.

Copy Editing

Correcting sentence-level errors and revising content for greater clarity, style, and efficacy based on intended audience and purpose.

– $4.00 per page

Content Editing – Stage One

A global or “big picture” review of content, including narrative structure, style, tone, what is and isn’t working on the page, and suggestions for revisions, all presented as line edits, culminating in a written summary of the manuscript as a whole for the author’s consideration. Follow up questions via email are welcomed for greater clarity and revision precision.

– $6.00 per page

Content Editing – Stage Two

A more intensive version of Stage One, including line edits and in-depth, on page notations concerning problematic patterns regarding language, thematic issues, and narrative inconsistencies. Due to the more intense scrutiny, this level of editing is designed as the final step before submitting for publishing consideration and will include more specific suggestions for revisions for the author’s consideration.

– $8.00 per page
